Melissa Mead brings a focused litigation practice to Slater Seibert, with an emphasis on no-fault insurance matters. She routinely handles cases involving personal injury protection (PIP), automobile negligence, and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, advocating on behalf of major national insurance providers and their insureds.
In addition to her work in the no-fault arena, Ms. Mead has defended a wide array of civil claims, including medical and dental malpractice, premises liability, and insurance coverage disputes. Her well-rounded litigation experience informs her strategic approach to every case she handles.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Mead served as in-house counsel at one of the country’s largest insurers, gaining firsthand insight into claims operations and insurer defense strategy.
Ms. Mead earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. She is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. She is also an active member of the Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
