Jason R. Hodge concentrates his practice on insurance defense, representing insurance carriers in motor vehicle negligence matters involving both first-party and third-party claims under Michigan’s No-Fault Act. He routinely handles No-Fault personal injury protection (PIP) benefit disputes as well as third-party bodily injury and pain and suffering claims, allowing him to effectively assess exposure and develop strategic defenses from claim inception through trial.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Hodge worked as a claim specialist for one of the nation’s largest insurance companies, where he handled Michigan No-Fault claims and gained valuable insight into claim investigation, coverage analysis, and loss evaluation. He later practiced at a statewide law firm representing insurers in automobile negligence litigation. In addition to his No-Fault experience, Mr. Hodge has litigated premises liability and general negligence matters, further enhancing his practical understanding of claim development, valuation, and trial presentation.
Mr. Hodge is admitted to practice in the State Bar of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. He has successfully handled multiple appeals before the Michigan Court of Appeals and has been recognized as a Top Lawyer by Grand Rapids Magazine in 2023, 2024, and 2025, as well as Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for 2025 and 2026.
